About Ben Morel-Allen
My Story
Like many people, I started working from home full-time in 2020. I tried to make my home working space a place I loved to come each day and which made me happy to spend time in. But even when I was happy with many of the big things – the desk, the chair, their positioning – there were things I couldn’t get right.
I loved my desk but all the accessories I found – monitor stands, stationary holders, headphone stands – were either cheap pieces of chipboard or really expensive and with a design I didn’t like.
At the same time I wasn’t finding my corporate job fulfilling. Creating value for shareholders wasn’t my life’s ambition. Instead I wanted to create something of my own, something I could take pride in.
After several years of searching for ways to make my working space feel truly like mine I decided to take my experience in marketing and a basic knowledge of SketchUp to scratch both these issues. I founded Narrow Hill Design to create the perfect working space for myself and, at the same time, for other people.
Life and Experience
I started my career working in a small marketing agency, with businesses large and small as my cleints. But most recently I’ve spent time at a large corporate, in their marketing department. I’ve been a Senior Marketing Manager and a Senior Analytics Manager while there.
I’m also a charity trustee, helping a local education charity to expand their reach in the local community and grow their volunteer base.
