Materials

The shelf and legs of this monitor stand are made from solid European oak, finished in a duo of hard wax oils. These oils enhance the natural grain of the oak, provide protection from moisture, and give the stand a unique two-tone finish. They also mean you can maintain the stand over the years you will use it for by simply applying a clear oil coat every 12 months.

The wood itself is hard-wearing and strong, so will resist bowing. Oak’s naturally pale colour and open grain give it texture and tactility that other woods cannot match.

Ergonomics

All monitor stands are good for your head and neck when you’re creating at a screen. By raising your monitor by 100mm you can place the centre of the screen directly in front of you, so you don’t have to look up or down to keep your attention where it’s needed most often. This placement also minimizes how much you need to move your neck when you turn your attention to the top and bottom portions of the screen. The Tazetta stand does this with elegance and grace, becoming a subtle centrepiece for your desk.

Plus there is plenty of space under its delicately detailed shelf to store a keyboard and mouse when they’re not needed, a USB hub, or your stationery.

The thumbnail profiles on the legs and rails complement the full roundover on the short edges of the shelf. These curves contrast with the sharp edges at the top of the shelf and flat back and front. For a small piece the Tazetta packs in a lot of design details

Assembly

The Tazetta monitor stand comes flat-packed for easy shipping. To assemble, just push a pair of dowels into each leg; push the other ends of the dowels into the holes; then screw a pair of bolts into the pre-positioned threaded inserts.

Where Does my Money go?

All prices on the Narrow Hill Design website are shown inclusive of duties and taxes based on your location.

A typical cost breakdown for an item in the Tazetta range would be:

• 26% of the price you paid goes on on materials and manufacture
• 11% on delivery and fulfillment
• 30% on fees, VAT and other taxes
• 33% on business costs, including administration and software costs

This is an estimated breakdown and may be subject to change. It will also vary based on your location.

Duties and Tariffs

In the UK, Republic of Ireland and USA we offer items delivery duty paid. That means the price you see on the website is the price that you will pay for the item entering the country. In all other countries we are only able to offer delivery duty unpaid. That means the item will be subject to import duties and VAT/HST which is appropriate for your country. This will be paid at the standard rate to your government’s customs service.

In the USA, you will see prices including local taxes at the checkout. The price on our website includes a 16% tariff for imported goods as our items are manufactured in the EU.

Deliveries and Shipping

Our fulfilment partners work with a range of well-known carriers including Royal Mail, DPD and UPS to provide fast and reliable shipping.

Shipping is free in the UK on all orders during the pre-order stage and set at the lowest possible price for the rest of the world. Pricing may be subject to change as carriers alter their rates and surcharges, such as fuel surcharges.

• All pre-orders are being manufactured in a single batch at the end of August, with pickup by our carrier partner the following days
• This batch will be delivered to our UK warehouse 10 days after pickup, ready for distribution in early September
• If you place your order before the batch hits our warehouse we will stay in touch to let you know the progress of manufacture and delivery
• If you place your order when the monitor stand is in-stock we will ship it in 1-2 business days

Returns and Exchange

• You can return your order within 30 days if you’re not completely happy with it
• A return slip will be provided with your order in case it’s needed

Why the name “Tazetta”?

The tazetta variety of daffodil holds many small flowers on one stem. Those flowers have petit, curved petals and trumpets. It is one of the tallest daffodil varieties, making its stem long and delicate. Cultivars come in white and yellow, bringing zings of colour to the garden at a time when it’s mostly brown and green. Around 20 stands of tazetta daffodils grow in our founder’s graden.

The curves of the petals and the slender, strong stems echo the details of our first range. They give a burst of colour  when your garden is otherwise at a low point in the year, giving you the same feeling of joy that this range provides when it catches your eye during the day.
